Story 18: Three’s Company Part 1 (Written)

Every now and then, the body indulges its curiosities - consciously or subconsciously. During a casual walk around her neighborhood, Alyssa found herself catching a peek of her married neighbors’ intimate moments - the moments most often had behind closed curtains. Her curiosities, coupled with subtly seductive interactions with her enticing neighbors, lead her down a path to pursue pleasure in a foreign, yet delightful experience.

Alyssa stepped out of her wedges and yanked off her light jacket, tossing it on the end table by the door.

“There she goes, Ladies and Gentlemen - and people who are neither.” Zane, Alyssa’s housemate, announced to the empty living room. He followed her up the stairs as Alyssa continued to undress. The book club meeting at Bridge City Comics started in thirty minutes. She hurried to find her olive sweater dress.

“So, what do you think Michelle’s going to wear tonight?” Zane asked, plopping down onto her bed. Alyssa turned to Zane and rolled her eyes. Michelle was leading tonight’s discussion. She was also their neighbor to whom Alyssa had been secretly harboring a recent attraction. Well, she and her wife, Palvi.

Alyssa could have sworn that the sweater dress was folded on top of her clothes rack. She jumped over a stack of clean-ish clothes to check her dresser.

“You’re right. It’s how she looks without clothes that really interests you.”

Zane was right, thought Alyssa. Three weeks ago when Portland’s sunny days began petering out, ushering in the cold rainy season, Alyssa had been making her way back home after strolling around the neighborhood when she passed Michelle and Palvi’s house. Through the slightly parted curtains, Alyssa got an eyeful of a private moment between them. In the living room, Palvi was on her knees naked before Michelle, wearing a red collar while Michelle held a leash. Michelle was in a sports bra and briefs. Alyssa drew closer and spied Michelle tweaking Palvi’s left nipple.

It was the sexiest thing Alyssa had ever seen. But she was most struck by how much fun they seemed to be having. Palvi giggled and moaned when her wife started to massage her left breast. Michelle then turned toward the window and Alyssa ducked down behind the banister of their porch. She was pretty sure she had not been seen. Since that evening, she spent nearly every night drifting off to sleep, fantasizing about her neighbors. How had she never noticed how hot they were?

“Can you make yourself useful and pick a pair of tights that’ll go with my olive sweater dress?” she said with feigned annoyance and a slight smile on her face.

Zane swung his legs off the bed and reached for her clothes rack. “Girl, don’t act like we can’t chat and search at the same time.”

“Zee, I promise to tell you everything when I get back.” She was interested in seeing Michelle fully naked, but she did not want to have that image in her mind right before she saw the woman.

Alyssa pulled the middle drawer out. She saw the dress instantly and put it on.

“Okay, fine. Here, catch.” Zane tossed the tights at Alyssa. “Remember what we talked about.”

Alyssa turned to him and caught them. She finished getting dressed and exited her room with haste, but not before grabbing this month’s book. The bookstore was a few blocks away, allowing her to arrive with enough time to talk to Michelle before the meeting started.

Alyssa was on the block of the bookstore. She was anxious. She had spoken to Michelle dozens of times - admittedly not since seeing her kinky playtime with Palvi. She had also been avoiding the bank near her job because Palvi worked there.

With Zane’s help, she decided that tonight she would talk to Michelle and reminded herself that it was crazy to avoid her neighbors. She would get over her attraction - it’s not like it was reciprocated. Her neighbors were nothing but kind and friendly to not only her, but also Zane and her other two roommates. They were married. They were older and more experienced. There was no way anything would happen despite her fantasies.

Alyssa entered the bookstore and immediately noticed Michelle by her locs wrapped in a bun on top of her head. Michelle wore a gray blazer, navy button-down, and forest green pants. Alyssa checked her phone and was seven minutes early. A few people were milling about the space.

“Hey, Michelle.”

“Hey, Alyssa. I’m surprised to see you came tonight. I feel like I haven’t seen you in a minute.” With one arm Michelle pulled Alyssa into a hug.

“I started a new job. I work downtown as a Marketing Assistant and I’m still adjusting to the commute.” Not a complete lie. Something inside Alyssa stirred at the feel of Michelle’s hold on her. Her palms got sweaty.

“That explains it. Well, I miss coming home, seeing you reading on your porch and chatting for a bit.” Michelle slid her arm from around Alyssa but did not stop touching her. She rubbed her hand up and down Alyssa’s arm. Michelle was always physically affectionate, but post-sex sighting, her touch felt naughtier and more suggestive.

“Uh, well, I read this month’s book. There's so much to discuss about Nailbiter. I'm not usually into horror, but I liked this a lot.”

“Does that mean you’ll make more than two comments tonight? I know you have brilliance lurking in that mind. I want to hear what you have to say.” More people made their way to the seats arranged in a circle. Alyssa was shy in group settings. She was better talking to people one-on-one. “It looks like I need to start things, but don’t be a stranger. You know you’re always welcome at the house - that’s from me and Palvi. ” Michelle drew her attention to the room and Alyssa felt the loss of her touch.

Michelle's voice had dropped a little when she said, that's from me and Palvi. It was a seductive invitation meant only for Alyssa's ears. Perhaps they had seen her outside and they liked it? Alyssa sat down and knew for sure what she had suspected for weeks. She was not only excited to have stumbled upon her neighbors; she wanted to join them. Alyssa leaned back in her seat, thinking how she would make it happen.

THREE DAYS LATER...

Today was shaping up to be one of those days. It was only 10:38AM. Alyssa was hosting a Zoom meeting with a visual artist based in Houston with whom her company was interested in collaborating. The meeting ended at 11AM and it could not come soon enough.

A notification for the intra-office chat popped up on her screen. It was from Miranda, the only other Black girl in the office who was also an assistant, but in a different department.

MESSAGE:
Lunch at noon, right? I’m STARVING
Been craving some Thai, you?

Alyssa smiled and wrote back.

MESSAGE:
Down
If I don’t die first from this meeting
This artist is boring af. His work is great but he’s terrible talking about it

Miranda sent the laugh-crying emoji. Alyssa wished the meeting held her attention more because every second her mind was free, she thought about her neighbors. This was egged on enthusiastically by Zane, who supported her pursuing a threesome after she told him about the book club meeting.

MESSAGE:
The worst part is I’m pretty sure Stephanie is gonna choose to work with him which means I’ll have to communicate with him the most
Shoot me

Alyssa saw that Miranda was typing.

MESSAGE:
Damn girl sorry
I’ll shoot you if you can shoot me after
Jason is up my ass today like damn I hope you find what you looking for

MESSAGE:
LOL
Deal
Meet you in the lobby at noon

Alyssa added two heart emojis to her last message and counted the minutes until lunchtime.

She saw Miranda waiting in the lobby when the elevator doors opened. They walked out and headed to SW 13th Avenue - the street housing their favorite Thai place. Walking past the bank, where Palvi was Branch Manager, Alyssa remembered the check in her purse that her aunt had sent her.

“Hey, I need to hop into the bank real quick - gotta deposit a check.”

“No problem.” Miranda crossed the street alongside Alyssa. Alyssa did not want to let on that she was doing something of consequence.

“I have to endorse it and don’t have a pen.” Alyssa bit her lip. “Wait here a minute.”

Miranda stayed outside. Alyssa’s stomach felt hollowed out by anticipation, and she briefly thought she had just given an explanation when none was necessary. Nevertheless, she was determined to make her intentions known to Palvi. She strolled in and did not make it fully to the stand that held deposit slips when she heard someone call her name from behind. She recognized the sweet voice and turned toward it.

“Hey, Palvi. How’s your day so far?” Alyssa grabbed a pen to sign the back of her check. Palvi was average height and had a bronze complexion. Her hair was wavy and reached past her shoulders.

“Good. I was about to heat up my lunch. Michelle cooked a big meal last night - you know how she is when she finds a cookbook she loves,” Palvi laughed. The laugh was throaty. She was naturally exuberant. Alyssa’s mind went back to seeing her giggle when Michelle was playing with her breasts.

Alyssa did not let her mind wander too far and responded with, “Sounds like Michelle. I remember how her hands create magic.”

“That they do. If you’re here to deposit that check, I’ll do it for you.”

“That’d be really helpful.”

“Yeah, I’m happy to.” Palvi led her over to an empty teller and signed into a computer while Alyssa got out her debit card and ID.

Standing before the woman whose breasts she could not stop thinking about, Alyssa wondered how they would feel in her own hands. Then her thoughts turned to Michelle and how her fingers would feel stroking her pussy. She wasn’t quite ready for BDSM, but she figured a threesome was not a stretch from it - she knew one did not mean the other, but she was hoping like hell that in this case, it did.

“Alyssa, Michelle and I would like to have you over for another game night. We already invited Zane but he said he was busy. Are you free this Saturday around 7?” Palvi asked.

Bullshit, Zane was busy. She knew he had said no because he wanted to give her alone time with Michelle and Palvi. She took a mental note to bring home a bottle of merlot, his favorite, as a thank you.

“I love playing games with you two. I’d love for that to continue.” Alyssa questioned if she was being too suggestive. If she was, Palvi didn’t notice.

“You look really great today, Alyssa. I don’t think I ever told you this, but you always look great when you wear your braids in an updo.”

Alyssa’s brain short circuited. Palvi slid the receipt, her debit card and ID under the partition. When Alyssa reached for them, Palvi did not immediately remove her hands. She looked Alyssa in her eyes.

“I can’t wait to see you Saturday. If you come early, you can enjoy Michelle’s culinary genius.”

“I’ll be early and I’ll be ready to eat.” Alyssa exited, concentrating on not looking back and not grinning like an idiot. The brief moment had spiked her temperature, and she worried her clothes would singe if she did not leave immediately. Palvi was definitely flirting with her, leaving no doubt that her neighbors were interested.

She now had a date and time. Today was Tuesday, which meant there were four days between her and her first threesome.
